Vision:
To create safe, supportive, and home-like environments where youth can build stability, develop life skills, and experience meaningful growth through connection, structure, and guided independence.
Mission Statement:
To provide safe, supportive, and structured home environments where youth can build stability,
develop life skills, and strengthen connections, while supporting their journey toward
independence and, where appropriate, family reunification.
Guiding Principles:
Our organization is guided by:
love, respect, courage, honesty, wisdom, humility and truth.
Our Story:
Roots of Unity was founded in 2024 by three women with extensive experience in the social services field, with a shared vision of creating safe, supportive spaces for children, youth, and families.
We began by offering supervised family visits in a warm, home-like environment, focused on strengthening connections through meaningful, everyday interactions. As needs within the system evolved, we recognized a growing gap in placement options for girls requiring stability, structure, and ongoing support.
In response, we expanded our services to include:
A Youth Transitional Program (Ages 17–21) at our Rothesay home
A Specialized Resource Program (Ages 12–16) at our Moncton home
While our current focus is on emergency placements and supporting girls within our programs, we continue to work collaboratively with agencies to facilitate specialized family visitations when needed.
Roots of Unity remains grounded in connection, care, and consistency—supporting youth and families as they move toward stability, growth, and reunification.
